Here's an overview of the past two North of the 10 Showcases and what to expect for the North of the 10 Showcase 3 on May 7th!

1st North of the 10 Showcase (2023)
Overview: The inaugural "North of the 10 Showcase" in 2023 was an exciting event that marked the beginning of an annual tradition, aimed at providing athletes from high schools in the Inland Empire, San Bernardino, and surrounding areas an opportunity to showcase their skills. The showcase brought together talented players from across the region for a day of football drills, competitions, and exposure to college recruiters and scouts.
Event Format:
Position-Specific Drills: Players participated in drills focused on their specific positions (quarterback, wide receiver, running back, defensive back, linebacker, offensive and defensive line). Coaches worked with athletes on skill development and technique refinement.
One-on-One Competitions: Athletes were able to compete in one-on-one matchups, such as quarterbacks throwing to wide receivers and defensive backs going against receivers, allowing players to demonstrate their skills in competitive situations.
Physical Testing: Players were tested on key metrics like the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, shuttle drills, and other key physical attributes that scouts look for in recruits.
Purpose: The 2023 showcase was designed to give players in the northern areas of Southern California the same opportunities that athletes in more heavily recruited areas, like Los Angeles or Orange County, get. By focusing on the I-10 corridor and areas north, the event sought to shine a spotlight on athletes who might otherwise go unnoticed.
Outcome:
The first showcase was well-received by athletes and coaches alike, offering a valuable networking opportunity for players to be seen by college recruiters and get feedback from coaches.
Several athletes left the event with scholarship offers or increased interest from college programs, marking the event as a success for Oak Hills High School and the local football community.
2nd North of the 10 Showcase (2024)
Overview: Building on the success of the 2023 showcase, the 2024 North of the 10 Showcase took place with an even larger turnout. It provided another platform for players in the Inland Empire and surrounding regions to compete in front of college coaches and scouts. The 2024 event also introduced a few new elements to enhance the experience for athletes and give even more exposure to the talent in the region.
Event Format:
Position-Specific Drills & Competitions: As in the previous year, athletes participated in position-specific drills. This year, the event expanded its format to include more competitive drills and team-based scrimmages, allowing players to showcase their skills in more realistic, game-like scenarios.
Expanded Recruiting Presence: More college recruiters attended the 2024 event, and there was greater representation from both NCAA and NAIA programs. This increased the opportunities for athletes to be noticed and receive immediate feedback.
Live Stream & Media Coverage: The 2024 showcase saw enhanced media coverage, with a live stream of key events and drills so that parents, fans, and additional college scouts who couldn’t attend in person could still watch the showcase and evaluate talent.
Combine Testing: As part of the showcase, athletes participated in combine-style testing, including the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump, and broad jump. This was used to help athletes benchmark their physical abilities.
Purpose: The 2024 showcase continued to build on its mission of providing a platform for local athletes to get recruited and increase their exposure. With the addition of media coverage and more college programs attending, it also worked to expand the event's reach and impact in helping athletes gain scholarship opportunities.
Outcome: The 2024 event was even more successful than the inaugural showcase, with higher participation, more attention from college recruiters, and a more polished event overall. Several athletes walked away with offers or invitations to camps and further recruitment events.

3rd North of the 10 Showcase (2025)
Date: May 7, 2025
Overview: The 3rd North of the 10 Showcase will take place on May 7, 2025, and is expected to be the largest and most competitive event yet. This year’s showcase will continue to focus on providing athletes in the Inland Empire and northern parts of Southern California with an opportunity to be seen by college coaches and scouts.
Expected Format:
Increased College Scout Presence: More college scouts and recruiters from across the nation are expected to attend, looking for top talent for their programs. The event aims to attract a wider range of NCAA Division I, II, and III schools, as well as NAIA programs.
New Drills & Competitions: The event will likely continue to include position-specific drills, one-on-one competitions, and testing metrics, but may introduce new challenges or features to make the showcase even more dynamic and competitive.
Expanded Media Coverage: Expect even more comprehensive media coverage, including live streaming of the event and social media updates to ensure that more eyes are on the talented athletes participating.
Purpose: The 2025 showcase will once again aim to give talented athletes from less widely scouted areas a platform to show their skills. It will continue to be a key event for athletes looking to get recruited and gain exposure to collegiate football programs.
Outlook: The 2025 showcase is expected to build on the momentum from the previous two years, with an even larger turnout, more college recruitment opportunities, and increased visibility for players. This event will continue to be an important tool in helping athletes from the Inland Empire and northern Southern California get noticed on the national football scene.
